Professional positioning through postgraduate academic competencies
Abstract
Industrialized countries realized that the most effective resource for their companies was their workers, that successful results in job performance were associated with academic de-grees, especially master’s and doctorate degrees. The objective of this research is to analyze how postgraduate academic competences have allowed teachers to position themselves in the professional field. The research is explanatory in scope, correlational design, and the census sample was made up of 81 female teachers from the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, graduated in 2016. Survey techniques and content analysis were applied. All in-struments were validated by expert judgment. It was concluded by demonstrating the im-portance of postgraduate academic competencies as a factor directly related to improving the quality and job positioning of professionals.
